You should never feel surprised by an invoice. Every minute of professional work is accounted for with fairness and administrative precision.

15-Minute Billing Increments

Time is tracked and billed in clean, predictable 15-minute intervals. You only pay for the precise time required to move your file forward.

Uniform Hourly Rate

Whether we are conducting intake screening, drafting a complex parenting schedule, or holding joint sessions, the rate remains flat at $165/hr.

Shared Cost Transparency

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, professional fees for joint sessions and drafting are shared equally (50/50) between participants.

Administrative Policies & Terms

Clear boundaries protect the professional relationship and ensure predictable administration for all participants.

Invoicing & Retainer Terms

To ensure smooth administration, professional fees are managed through clear, predictable payment structures outlined in your Agreement to Mediate.

  • Invoicing Cadence: Invoices are issued following sessions or drafting blocks, detailing time spent in 15-minute increments.
  • Accepted Payments: Secure Interac e-Transfer to virginiadavis1981@gmail.com.
  • Advance Retainers: For multi-session files or drafting phases, an advance retainer may be requested and held in trust against final accounts.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Notice Window: A minimum of 2 business days (48 hours) notice is required to cancel or reschedule any intake or mediation session.
  • Late Cancellation Fee: Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be billed at the standard hourly rate for the reserved block time.
  • Voluntary Pause: Either participant may pause or terminate mediation at any time without penalty for future sessions, effective upon written notice.
