Common topics we address include:
• Building detailed, calendar-ready parenting plans and holiday schedules
• Establishing predictable co-parenting communication protocols
• Designing joint decision-making frameworks for educational and medical needs
• Aligning on child support guidelines and Section 7 extraordinary expense sharing schedules
-
Structured, compassionate facilitation when families are facing major life transitions and need help reaching shared decisions—especially when emotions are high, stakes are significant, and family communication has stalled.
Common situations we support include:
• Coordinating elder care plans and aging-parent housing transitions
• Navigating sibling estate disputes and inheritance logistics
• Structuring blended family integration plans and boundary setting
• Resolving communication roadblocks between adult relatives in dispute
-
For families experiencing recurring communication breakdowns and repeated relational conflict. Rather than attempting to fix personalities, we focus on establishing clear, written communication agreements and actionable boundaries.
This stream is designed for:
• Co-parents who need a structured reset to manage recurring disputes or scheduling friction
• Extended family members seeking to break free from cyclical relational gridlocks
• Establishing written boundaries that protect relationships and de-escalate household tension
-
Proactive, early-intervention sessions to align on values, financial expectations, or co-parenting intentions before significant conflict has a chance to escalate.
Common applications include:
• Assisting couples in drafting clear cohabitation plans and financial expectations
• Supporting families in navigating pre-separation planning in a calm, neutral environment
• Creating a structured, safe space to align parent/adult-child expectations on estate or transition plans
The 8-Stage Journey to Resolution
Our process is structured, highly predictable, and safety-focused. We break the journey into three manageable phases to ensure you never feel rushed or overwhelmed.
-
• Step 1: Inquiry & Conflict Chec
You reach out, and I collect basic names to complete an immediate, mandatory conflict check. Safe communication preferences (email/voicemail discretion) are established early.
• Step 2: Confidential Consultation
We schedule a brief 15-minute consultation to discuss your high-level goals, outline fees, clarify process boundaries, and confirm initial process suitability.
• Step 3: Separate Intake & Screening
Each participant meets with me privately for a dedicated 60-to-90 minute session. I utilize validated, clinical assessment prompts to evaluate voluntariness, power imbalances, and safety needs.
• Step 4: Custom Process Design
Using my clinical synthesis, I determine process appropriateness and design custom safeguards—including choosing the most workable session format (direct joint, shuttle, or hybrid separate meetings).
-
• Step 5: Signed Agreement to Mediate
If mediation proceeds, we review and sign your formal Agreement to Mediate. This contract outlines your fee schedules, the voluntary nature of the process, and strict virtual privacy protocols.
• Step 6: Structured Mediation Sessions
We conduct highly structured, agenda-driven sessions focused on exploring interests, gathering financial disclosure, and generating workable, forward-looking co-parenting and support options.
-
• Step 7: Draft Memorandum & Legal Review
Tentative points of consensus are summarized into a plain-language draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Both of you are strongly encouraged to obtain separate Independent Legal Advice (ILA) review.
• Step 8: File Closure & Implementation
Once review is complete, we compile final documents, outline implementation check-ins, reconcile billing, and securely archive your digital file under our strict 10-year secure record retention schedule.
Absolute Financial Transparency
Stressed families in transition need predictability, and that includes your billing. We maintain a flat hourly structure across all billable services so that there are never any unexpected surprises, retainers, or hidden fees.
Professional Rate: $165.00 per hour (Billed in 1/10th hour/6-minute increments)
Individual Intake & Screening: $165.00 per hour (Payable per person for their private session)
Unified Billing: Applies uniformly to joint/shuttle sessions, case preparation, drafting, and substantive correspondence.
Default Split: Shared shared work and drafting are split 50/50 between parties unless agreed otherwise in writing.
