Clear expectations support a fair and respectful mediation process.
My professional fee is $165 per hour. This rate applies to mediation-related services including intake and screening, mediation sessions, and related professional work outlined below.

Intake & screening sessions
Intake and screening sessions are an essential part of ethical family mediation. These individual meetings allow me to:
Understand the family situation and concerns
Assess whether mediation is appropriate and safe
Screen for power imbalance, safety, and capacity to participate
Design a mediation process that is fair and workable
Format
Conducted individually with each party
Typically 60–90 minutes
Can take place virtually or in person
Fees for intake & screening
Billed at $165/hour
Each party is billed separately for their own intake session
Fees are payable regardless of whether mediation proceeds
Mediation sessions
Mediation sessions are billed at $165 per hour, based on the length of each session. Where applicable, fees may be shared between parties or paid individually, as agreed.
Billable time may include:
Mediation sessions (joint or separate)
Case-related preparation and process design
Drafting of mediation summaries, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) documents (where applicable)
Case-related emails or phone calls requiring professional time

Agreement to Mediate
After intake and screening are completed, and if mediation is deemed appropriate, an Agreement to Mediate is signed before any mediation sessions take place.
The Agreement governs:
The mediation process moving forward
Confidentiality and its limits
Voluntariness and the right to pause or terminate
Role boundaries and expectations
Fees, billing, and cancellation terms for mediation sessions
Payment terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.
Invoices will be provided for all billable services.
Accepted payment methods will be outlined prior to the first session.
Cancellations & missed appointments
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an intake or mediation session. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be billed in full.
